Samsung has launched its new Galaxy A 2020 series smartphone in Vietnam today, which is named as the Samsung Galaxy A51. The Samsung Galaxy A51 is priced at 7,990,000 VND (approximately Rs 24,481) for 6GB RAM with a 128GB storage variant and comes in three color option-Prism Crush Black, White, Blue, and Pink. Interested buyers can also pre-order the device starting December 16th and sale will kick start from December 27th onwards. Those who will pre-order the device will get Samsung wireless Bluetooth headset (C&T ITFIT A08C) and a Samsung 10,000mAh power bank.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 also features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and under the hood it has an Octa-Core Exynos 9611 processor(Quad 2.3GHz + Quad 1.7GHz) paired with Mali-G72 GPU.
This smartphone comes with 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB/8GB RAM with 128GB and comes with an option to expand the storage which is up to 512GB via micro SD card. On the camera front, the Galaxy A51 also has Quad rear camera setup with 48-megapixel as a primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, a 12-megapixels ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixels depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture and another 5-megapixels macro camera with f/2.4 aperture with an LED flash. On the front, it has a 32-megapixels selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. It comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and comes with the support of Dolby Atmos.
The phone comes equipped with a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP primary lens with, f/2.0 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 5MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone runs on a 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charging and has an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy A51 features a quad rear camera set up which is housed in a module. The three sensors are positioned vertically and the fourth one is sitting parallel at the bottom of the module. The LED sitting is one the right-hand side of the three vertical sensors. The phone has a 48 MP, f/2.0, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF sensor, 12 MP, f/2.2, 13mm (ultrawide), 1.12µm sensor, 5 MP, f/2.4, (wide), dedicated macro camera, and a 5 MP, f/2.2, (wide), 1/5.0″, 1.12µm, depth sensor. It has an LED flash, panorama, and HDR.
The front punch hole houses the 32 MP selfie camera that can shoot videos at 1080p at 30 frames per second and supports HDR.
Samsung revamps the Infinity-O display by placing the punch hole at the top center of the device. The cutout houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera. And because of smaller bezels, the Samsung Galaxy A51 fits a 6.5-inch display into the tall and Samsung calls the bodywork on the Galaxy A51 “3D Glasstic,” but it has that same prism-like criss-cross pattern and gradient effect that changes its color depending on how light hits the handset. It comes in the colors Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Pink, and Prism Crush Blue.
This model Galaxy A51 runs on Android 10 with the Samsung One UI 2.0 on top of it and gets its boost from 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. Connectivity options include VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and a USB Type-C port. It measures 158.5 x 73.6 x 7.9mm and weighs 172 grams.
The company will start selling the Samsung Galaxy A51 in Vietnam on December 27, with a starting price of ₫7,990,000, which is around P17,570 and $346. It hasn’t shared the pricing or release details for markets such as the Philippines at this time.
Samsung Galaxy A51 smartphone is expected to be launched in India soon. The support pages of the phone have gone live on Samsung India’s website which hints at the imminent launch of the phone. The smartphone was launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy A71 at an event in Vietnam earlier this month and is now set to hit the Indian market. The Galaxy A51 is expected to be launched in India in December 2019. The phone packs quad rear cameras and run on Samsung’s new One UI 2.0 custom skin based on Android 10 OS.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is the successor of the popular mid-range Galaxy A50 smartphone and comes with interesting camera setup and an Infinity-O Super AMOLED display. The phone comes with an Infinity-O Super AMOLED display which was also seen on the company’s flagship Galaxy Note 10 and 10 Plus smartphone launched earlier this year. The phone has a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 (405 PPI) in a 20:9 format. The device has a small hole punch in the center at the top of the display and has a screen-to-body ratio of 87.4 percent. The phone has Gorilla Glass 3 protection and has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The phone is available in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Blue, and Prism Crush Pink colors.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery which supports charging up to 15W. The phone has a USB-C port on the bottom of the phone. It comes in up to 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage which is expandable via a MicroSD slot up to 1TB. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Connectivity options included on the phone are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. It has a 4,000mAh battery that offers 15W fast charging support. The phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and supports NFC for file transfers.
The phone is powered by an Exynos 9611 (10nm) octa-core (4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) processor with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It runs on Android 10.0 OS with the company’s One UI 2 on top.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 is powered by an Exynos 9611 which is a 64-bit ARM mid-range microprocessor that was designed by Samsung in late 2019. The phone is made with Samsung’s 10 nm process, the system on chip features eight cores consisting of four Cortex-A73 big cores operating at up to 2.3 GHz and four Cortex-A53 little 1.7 GHz cores. The chip incorporates a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and comes with up to 4 GiB of quad-channel LPDDR4x-3200 memory.
Samsung’s Exynos chip incorporates an LTE modem that supports Cat 12 600Mbps download and Cat 13 150Mbps upload speeds. The phone also supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 24 MP ISP.
Samsung says that the Exynos 9611 processor is designed to offer artificial intelligence capabilities via a deep-learning technology. It comes with a built-in digital signal processor and a neural network engine. The vision image processing unit of the Exynos 9611 can analyze analog signals of images and videos as well as identify the objects and environment within the scene, says Samsung.
The phone comes with a wide array of sensors including a fingerprint (under display, optical) sensor for additional security. It also has an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and compass sensors. The phone also features Face Unlock technology. It also comes with support for NFC technology to transfer data.
